How to Perform IP Address Lookup with Google Sheets?
You can use Google Sheets to perform IP address lookups on large data sets, such as a list of possible spam sources. The process is relatively simple: You’ll need to have a spreadsheet containing the IP addresses you want to check and then run them through Google’s address lookup service. After that, you’ll be able to see all kinds of information about each IP address, including its location and the provider who owns it. If you’re unfamiliar with using Google Sheets or would like additional guidance on performing this kind of task in general (or any other software), don’t hesitate to contact us.

You can use this method for IP address lookups on large data sets
IP address lookups are a common task for network engineers. This method is useful for large data sets and can be easily implemented with Google Sheets, which is free to use.
Google Sheets makes it easy to perform IP address lookups on large data sets, but there are other options as well. You can use a free online tool like IP Address Checker or Whois Lookup, which allows you to enter an IP address directly into their websites rather than importing data from Google Sheets. In addition, if you’re looking for more advanced features like domain name searches or reverse lookups (which return information about phone numbers based on their area codes), check out sites like MyIPAddress.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to perform an IP address lookup using Google Sheets:
Open Google Sheets: Go to Google Sheets and sign in to your Google Account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one for free.
Create a new sheet: Click on the “+” icon to create a new sheet.
Get the IPv4 address: In any cell, enter the IP address you want to lookup. For example, let’s say you have an IP address “192.168.1.1”, enter it in cell A1.
Install the IP Address Lookup Add-On: Click on “Add-ons” in the menu bar and select “Get add-ons”. In the Add-ons window, search for “IP Address Lookup” and click on the “Install” button next to the “IP Address Lookup — Proxifier” add-on. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
Use the IP Address Lookup Add-On: Once the add-on is installed, go to the Add-ons menu and select “IP Address Lookup”. Then choose “Lookup IP Addresses” from the drop-down menu.
Enter the IP address range: In the IP Address Lookup sidebar that appears, enter the cell range where your IP addresses are located. For example, if your IP address is in cell A1, enter “A1” in both the “From” and “To” fields.
Perform the IP address lookup: After entering the cell range, click on the “Lookup” button in the sidebar. The add-on will fetch the relevant information for the IP address(es) you entered.
View the results: The IP Address Lookup add-on will populate columns with information such as Country, Region, City, Latitude, Longitude, ISP, ASN, Organization, and Proxy Type for the IP address(es) you provided.
That’s it! You have successfully performed an IP address lookup using Google Sheets. You can now use this information for analysis, reporting, or any other purposes within your Google Sheets document.
